Sen. Inhofe Wants Gore Stripped of Nobel Prize

Story/interview here. I say, no, let Gore keep the prize. The Nobel Peace Prize suits him and the UN IPCC just perfectly, since they all belong to the same category.

Kaohsiung

A few pictures I took at the Kaohsiung International Airport before I boarded the plane to return to the U.S. via Taipei. One thing I noticed about Taiwan on this trip is the pathetic state of the news media. There was little, if any, reporting of anything consequential. Nothing about world events. Worse yet was the imitation of Al Gore's discredited Inconvenient Truth, with no mention of ClimateGate (well, it's not any better in the U.S., but at least we get to read about it in WSJ and Investor's Business Daily, as well as the blogs). There was much fuss about cutting carbon footprints, environmental protection -- which not bad in itself, but the whole approach is farcical. It's not clear if anyone is doing anything about it anyway (there are, of course, those who always talk). Anyway, here are the pictures.

Lee Rodgers forced out

So, no more Lee Rodgers on KSFO. Though I am not always a consistent listener (my commute hours vary), I have always enjoyed listening to Lee Rodgers in the morning. Too bad that's the way radio biz works.
