Taliban Man at Yale

The story of the former Taliban ambassador’s becoming a student at Yale left me scratching my head. I thought Taliban was supposed to be a dirty word, as the Left kept on calling certain Republicans the Taliban wing of the Republican Party. But now Yale admitted a real Taliban, and the Left is silent?

Just another piece of evidence that the Left is non compos mentis.

Bottom story of the day

When I read that Gore was not running for president, I immediately thought to myself, that would make a good item for James Taranto’s Bottom Story of the Day for the Best of the Web Today.

Funny thing was, it indeed showed up Taranto’s column today. What a coincidence!

Media hypocrisy about the Cheney incident

Wow, I can’t believe it’s been one and a half months since I last wrote. Time really flies when you don’t want it to fly, but really drags when you want it to fly.

Anyway, I among many have observed how differently the media treat Dick Cheney and Ted Kennedy. Cheney accidentally shot his hunting buddy, and the media made a big hoopla out of it, just because Cheney’s first priority was to get medical care for the wounded and to report to the proper authorities, and not to hold a press conference. What do the media people think they are? By contrast, when Ted Kennedy drowned Mary Jo, what did he do? Even if his was an accident, which many doubt, he did not immediately seek help to rescue her nor report to the authorities. Where was the media then?
