Man Is Doomed Either Way

After global warming causes you to beat your wife, the flowers you buy her won't smell as nice — thanks to global warming. It's a vicious cycle that can only be solved with higher energy prices.

But after a man has paid higher energy prices, he has no money left to buy his wife nice-smelling flowers, and then his wife gets grouchy and grumpy, and he beats her (God forbid!). So after the global warming problem has been solved, we still have a problem with flowers and wife-beating.
